RELATING TO A HAWAIIAN AUTONOMY TRUST HAW, WAM Provides for the disposition of assets and liabilities from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs following the ratification of a constitutional amendment to authorize the creation of a Hawaiian Autonomy trust, including the deposit of assets in an escrow and the appointment of a special master.

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS HAW, WAM Provides for interim revenue for fiscal year 2002-2003 of $17,000,000.

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS HAW, WAM Clarifies the public land trust and public land trust revenues. Makes appropriations to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. Sets standards for the making of grants, subsidies, and purchases of services.

RELATING TO ACCESS TO VITAL STATISTICS HAW, WAM Appropriates funds to all people of Hawaiian ancestry to have access to vital statistic records to prove ancestry.

Allows trustees of OHA to participate in and receive the same retirement benefits as other state elected officials

RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT,1920, AS AMENDED HAW,WAM Broadens the use of the Native Hawaiian Rehabilitation Fund(NHRF) to allow the provision of NHRF-supported programs and services to be extended to native Hawaiian families, Hawaiian homestead communities, and other organizations controlled by native Hawaiians

RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT, 1920, AS AMENDED HAW Allows a homestead lessee, who is at least one-quarter Hawaiian, to transfer the leasehold interest in the tract to a brother or sister, who is at least one-quarter Hawaiian.

RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISION ACT, 1920, AS AMENDED HAW, WAM

Allows DHHL to use the Hawaiian Home Lands Trust Fund monies for employee salaries.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PUEA CEMETERY HAW, WAM

Appropriates funds for maintenance and upkeep of Puea Cemetery in Kapalama.

S.B. 2813

RELATING TO TIME FRAMES FOR BURIAL COUNCIL DETERMINATIONS HAW Changes the time frame for Island Burial Councils to make determinations to relocate or preserve native Hawaiian burial sites from forty-five days to thirty days.

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
