RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTION.

Establishes guidelines for the court in determining release of information related to cases involving a missing child. (SD1)

Requires written findings of clear and convincing evidence to support a conclusion by the court that a permanent plan is warranted in child protective hearings. Requires notification to parents if a child is taken into protective custody. Requires a report to the court if a permanent plan hearing is not heard within six months of the initial petition. Requires an interview with the child's family in preparation of a report to the court. (HD1)

RELATING TO KAHO'OLAWE ISLAND RESERVE.

Requires the State to warn persons entering Kaho'olawe of the dangers of unexploded ordnance. Establishes a task force on warning signs and devices for Kaho'olawe; Makes conclusive presumption provisions effective on transfer of access control from Navy to Hawaii. (SD1)
