RELATING TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX.

Reallocates a percentage of the Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) from the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) to the general fund.

RELATING TO TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX.

Requires operators and plan managers to include data on hotel room rates and occupancy with their monthly TAT remittances to department of taxation. Requires department of taxation to transmit the data to the Hawaii tourism authority.

RELATING TO TOURISM.

Requires amounts of Hawaii tourism authority's tourism product enrichment and diversification grants to be awarded to counties as follows: 14.5% to Kauai, 18.6% to Hawaii, 22.8% to Maui, and 44.1% to Honolulu. Empowers county mayors to determine program administration, project feasibility, and post-event analysis.

RELATING TO THE CONVENTION CENTER.

Assigns responsibility to market, operate, manage, and maintain the Hawaii convention center facility to the Hawaii tourism authority and establishes a Hawaii convention center enterprise special fund and a convention center facility reserve special fund. Appropriates funds.
