The purpose of the informational briefing is to review and discuss the findings and recommendations of Professors James E. Wheeler and Jeffrey D. Gramlich as contained in their report entitled "How Chevron, Texaco and the Government of Indonesia Structured Transactions and Agreements to Save Billions in U.S. Income Taxes."
Professor Wheeler will be offering testimony and will be available to answer questions from committee members. Representatives from the Attorney General's Office, the mainland law firm of Winston & Strawn and ChevronTexaco Corporation have also been invited to participate.
