Pursuant to House Concurrent Resolution No. 93, the Auditor studied the feasibility of medical savings accounts as proposed in various measures regarding workers’ compensation, health care insurance, and the Hawaii Employer-Union Benefits Trust Fund.
The Auditor will brief the Committee on her findings and recommendations, as found in Report No. 03-14, entitled, "Study of Medical Savings Accounts".
In addition, the Administration will be provided an opportunity to respond to the Auditor’s findings and recommendations.
Participants include:
· Nelson Befitel, Director of Labor and Industrial Relations;
· Mark Recktenwald, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs; and
· J.P. Schmidt, State Insurance Commissioner.
NO PUBLIC TESTIMONY WILL BE ACCEPTED.
