NOTICE OF HEARING

A G E N D A

 

Pursuant to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 226, the Joint Senate-House Investigative Committee to investigate the security of recorded documents, private computer access and tampering of such documents, and the operations and management of the Bureau of Conveyances will convene for the purposes of:

 

1.  Receiving testimony from the following individuals for which subpoenas were issued:

 

§         Kent D. Pelt, Director and First Vice President of the Hawai‘i Land Title Association

§         Gerald T. Opedal, Vice President of Title Guaranty of Hawai‘i, Ltd.

§         Debra Pyrek, Vice President of Title Guaranty of Hawai‘i, Ltd.

§         Sandra Furukawa,  Title Officer of Title Guaranty of Hawai‘i, Ltd.

 

2.  Decision-making, including decision-making on the issuance of subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum, which may occur regarding the compelling of the attendance of witnesses and production of documents.

 

The Committee may meet in executive session to discuss matters as it deems necessary or as requested by a witness.

 

No public testimony will be accepted.
