RELATING TO A VETERANS' MEMORIAL.

Establishes a memorial to the veterans of the Persian Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm.

RELATING TO HAWAII PUBLIC PROCUREMENT CODE.

Exempts GSA-approved sole source vendors on procurements involving federal matching funds from certain sole source procurement provisions.  Clarifies small purchases for construction contracts.  Raises small purchases procurement limit to $100,000.  Effective July 1, 2050.  Sunsets July 1, 2011.  (SD1)

Status

RELATING TO THE ECONOMY.

Amends the Hawaii State Planning Act to include references to science and technology initiatives in Hawaii.  Amends the department of business, economic development, and tourism's reporting requirement to the legislature on the growth industries of Hawaii.  (SD1)

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
