Status

RELATING TO EXCHANGE ACCOMMODATION.

Regulates the profession of exchange accommodation.

Status

RELATING TO MORTGAGE FORECLOSURES.

Requires foreclosing lenders to notify their mortgagors about mortgage counseling.  Makes foreclosure void if notice not provided.

Status

RELATING TO USED MOTOR VEHICLE SALES.

Requires dealers to disclose material facts, as well as material mechanical defects, to consumers of used motor vehicles.  Requires dealers to use good faith and due care in preparing disclosure notice to consumers of used motor vehicles.

Status

RELATING TO MOTOR CARRIERS.

Excludes ground transportation of passengers and freight from regulation by the public utilities commission. Repeals the motor carrier law.

HB 1889

Status

RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION AUTHORITY.

Establishes a construction authority to be attached to the department of accounting and general services to oversee statewide procurement for construction, the facilitation of permit processing, and professional and vocational licensing of contractors, electricians, plumbers, elevator mechanics, professional engineers, architects, surveyors, and landscape architects.  Creates a special fund funded by professional licensing fees and the general excise tax upon contractors.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
