The purpose(s) of this informational briefing is to obtain information from the state department of transportation on the following matters:

 

1.       The status of the bid for the contract for Furnishing of Security Services at the Hawaii State Airports (Project No. ES1183-11) – amendment of the specifications.

 

2.       The status of the bid for the contract for Furnishing of Taxi, Parking and Bus Management Services at the Hawaii State Airports.

 

3.       Update on the Airports Modernization Project.

 

4.       Current Status of Overtime usage at the Hawaii State Airports.

 

5.       Status of the Committee’s July 22, 2010, information request regarding  Mr. Brian Sekiguchi’s vacation day on April 8, 2009,  and work related and gift disclosure documentation;

 

6.       Lihue Airport –

 

a.       Status of the employee embezzlement investigation

b.       Explanation of the overpayment, reinstatement, and settlement of the employee that walked off the job

c.        Status of the Mitigation of TSA fines on Kauai - mitigation

d.       Costs to the State, airlines, and travelers from the  security breach at Lihue Airport on September 11, 2009

 

7.       Grove Farm – status of the helipad expansion and  status of information requested by the Committee in letter dated July 22, 2010, regarding enhancements to the access points for the Grove Farm land , the value and costs of the enhancements, and whether an enhancement fee was negotiated as part of the contract

 

8.       Airports Personnel Officer Supervisor - status of the investigation of the Supervisor’s travel and interaction with personnel on the island of Hawaii, as requested in the Committee’s July 22, 2010, information request

 

9.       Lihue Solar – status of the implementation  of the cost-sharing program

 

10.    Ualena Street – breakdown of the total costs the State is paying and/or has paid for Parsons Consulting’s use of this facility – including, but not limited to, rent, maintenance fees, renovation costs, office furniture rental, etc.
