A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 87A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§87A-     Health care benefit coverage; mandated coverages; exclusions.  (a)  Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, any health benefits plan offered to an active or retired employee-beneficiary or dependent-beneficiary pursuant to this chapter shall include those benefits provided under sections:  431:10A-116, 431:10A-116.3, 431:10A-119, 431:10A-120, 431:10A-121, 431:10A-122, 431:10A-125, and 431:10A-126.

     (b)  Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, any health benefits plan offered to a retired employee-beneficiary pursuant to this chapter shall not include any benefits relating to fertility treatments."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
