Establishes a peer review process for public accounting firms that engage in attest work.  Effective July 1, 2012.  (HB2169 HD2)

Clarifies and corrects ambiguities and errors in Hawaii's securities laws.

Requires owners of residential units who reside on a different island than the unit or out-of-state to provide the managing agent or resident manager of the condominium project with contact information of a rental agent located in the State who is responsible for the management of the unit.  Effective January 1, 3000.  (HB1706 HD1)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Applies requirement for separate utility metering of nonresidential and residential condominium units to all condominium projects, regardless of when constructed.

RELATING TO THE MOTOR VEHICLE INDUSTRY LICENSING LAW.

Prohibits manufacturer recovery of increased warranty reimbursement to dealers. (Proposed SD1)

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY.

Requires motor vehicle fuel wholesalers and similar entities that offer volume discounts to any retail service station to offer the same volume discounts to all retail service stations.  Allows gasoline dealers to enter into cooperative purchasing agreements to acquire discounts on gasoline purchases.  Effective July 1, 2012.  (HB1454 HD1)
