RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CABLE TELEVISION SERVICES. Establishes the telecommunications and cable television services commission within DBEDT to regulate telecommunications and cable television services. Effective 7/1/12 regarding cable operators and 7/1/13 regarding telecommunications carriers. Effective 3/15/2034. (HD2)

RELATING TO REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CABLE TELEVISION PROVIDERS. Requires reporting by telecommunications and cable television providers to the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and provides confidentiality for certain information and reports submitted. Effective January 1, 3000. (HB2526 HD2)

RELATING TO BROADBAND. Requires the State and counties to approve, approve with modification, or disapprove all broadband related permits within forty-five business days. Provides that if no action is taken, the application will be deemed approved on the forty-sixth business day. Sunsets on June 30, 2017. (HB2325 HD2)

RELATING TO BROADBAND. Exempts the upgrading and new construction of broadband facilities on state property from state and county permitting processes. Requires report to the legislature. Effective July 1, 2012. Sunsets on June 30, 2017. (HB2324 HD2)
