RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY.

Sets the maximum weekly benefit amount at seventy-five per cent of the average weekly wage from April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012.  Sets, for calendar year 2012, the employer contribution rate at schedule F.  Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to accept loans from the State Director of Finance or from the federal government under Title XII of the Social Security Act.  Authorizes the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations director to increase the employment and training assessment in increments of .01 per cent retroactive to January 1, 2012, for payment of interest on federal loans for unemployment insurance benefits.  Requires the Act to apply retroactively to January 1, 2012.  (HB2096 HB1)

RELATING TO OCEAN RESOURCES.

Deletes the "one-gallon per person per day" exception to the prohibition against the removal of sand and other beach or marine deposits, except for materials inadvertently taken, such as those carried away on the body, clothes, toys, recreational equipment, and bags.  Creates an exemption for public emergencies and traditional cultural practices.  (SD1)

Allows DLNR to work on projects within lands or facilities under the jurisdiction of the division of boating and ocean recreation without the approval of county agencies.

RELATING TO STATUTORY REVISION:  AMENDING VARIOUS PROVISIONS OF THE HAWAII REVISED STATUTES AND THE SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII FOR THE PURPOSE OF CORRECTING ERRORS AND REFERENCES AND CLARIFYING LANGUAGE.

Amends various provisions of the Hawaii Revised Statutes and the Session Laws of Hawaii for the purpose of correcting errors and references and clarifying language.
