RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSING.

Directs the Director of the Department of Transportation to select a statewide driver's license reciprocity committee to evaluate foreign countries' requests for driver's license reciprocity to ensure the standards of the foreign countries' driver's license testing is equivalent to Hawaii's driver's license testing.  Effective July 1, 2020.  (HB2608 HD1)

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE STATEWIDE TRAFFIC CODE.

Requires motorists when passing a stationary authorized emergency vehicle with its visual signals activated on a highway to vacate the lane directly next to the stationary authorized emergency vehicle or reduce driving speed until clear by a specified distance of the stationary authorized emergency vehicle.  Effective January 7, 2059.  (HB2030 HD2)
