RELATING TO FRAUDULENT RECORDS.

Makes made part of the Commercial Code and provides for civil actions and administrative procedures to clear a title of a fraudulent lien or reinstate on a title a valid lien. Complements the Penal Code provisions for fraudulent filings.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO BUREAU OF CONVEYANCES.

Extends the sunset date of Act 119, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013, relating to the deregistration of fee non-time share interests.  Clarifies the actions taken after a certificate of title for a fee time share interest is deregistered and marked canceled by the assistant registrar.

RELATING TO FLAVORED TOBACCO PRODUCTS.

Prohibits the sale, offering for sale, or distribution of any flavored tobacco product, including menthol products and electronic smoking devices, within the State beginning on January 1, 2015.

RELATING TO FRANCHISES.

Voids provisions in a franchise that restricts the resolution of claims arising to foreign forums.

RELATING TO ASSISTING UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS.

Clarifies that a contractor licensee who aids and abets an unlicensed contractor may be subject to additional discipline by the contractors license board.
