Status

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

Establishes a working group to evaluate the procurement process for agricultural products in order to increase the consumption of locally-grown agricultural products within state institutions.

RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS.

Establishes a 3-year pilot program that enables new businesses to produce value-added products using fruits and vegetables deemed unsuitable to be sold as fresh. Appropriates moneys.

RELATING TO COMMUNITY FOOD FORESTS.

Establishes a Community Food Forest Program in the Department of Land and Natural Resources to work collaboratively with local government and community organizations to provide sources of healthy food statewide. Appropriates funds.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
