RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Requires wireless telecommunications service providers to transfer the billing authority and rights to the wireless telephone number or numbers to the petitioner, if the petitioner is not the account holder, upon court order.  (HB538 HD2)

RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Permits the termination of residential rental agreements in cases of domestic violence.  Specifies additional procedures under the residential landlord-tenant code for instances of domestic abuse.  (HB858 HD2)

RELATING TO REAL ESTATE BROKERS AND SALESPERSONS.

Allows the Real Estate Commission to take disciplinary action if a real estate broker or salesperson for a seller or buyer of real estate acts in a manner that prohibits a prospective buyer or seller from being able to retain a real estate broker or salesperson.  (HB279 HD2)

RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY TAXATION.

Clarifies that the real property tax exemption for property owned as a primary home covers persons who own, but cannot occupy in, the primary home due to a serious medical condition; provided that they do not rent or lease out that property.  (HB1293 HD1)

Requires providers of service contracts and the obligors of service contract buyback agreements to disclose to contract holders that a claim against the contract voids the contract holder's right to a full refund.  (HB1422 HD2)

Imposes on wholesalers and dealers a beach clean-up cigarette fee per cigarette sold, used, or possessed.  Establishes and allocates moneys generated to the Beach Clean-Up Special Fund for litter removal from beach land.

RELATING TO DENTISTRY.

Grants the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs the power to issue cease and desist orders for the unlicensed practice of dentistry and for any other act or practice in violation of the dental licensing laws upon a specific determination that the failure to take such action may result in an immediate and unreasonable threat to personal safety or of fraud that jeopardizes or endangers the health or safety of patients or the public.  (HB268 HD2)

RELATING TO THE STATE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT INNOVATION WAIVER.

Amends scope of the State Innovation Waiver Task Force consideration.  Provides resources to develop a waiver from certain provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.  Appropriates funds.  (HB576 HD1)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII HEALTH CONNECTOR.

Enables the Hawaii health connector to offer large group coverage.  Requires health insurers with greater than 20 percent share of the State's small group health insurance market to offer gold and platinum level qualified health plans as a condition of participation in the individual market of the Hawaii Health Connector.  Ends transitional renewal policies effective 1/1/2016.  Amends state small market parameters to comport with federal law.  Adds notification requirements.  (HB1467 HD2)
