RELATING TO THE CREATIVE MEDIA INDUSTRY.

Assigns to the Hawaii Tourism Authority the responsibilities for film development and marketing. Transfers the Film Industry Branch within the Creative Industries Division of the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to the Hawaii Tourism Authority and makes conforming amendments. Appropriates funds from the Film Development and Marketing Special Fund to the Hawaii Tourism Authority for implementation of the film development and marketing activities. (SB1155 HD1)

REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND TOURISM TO ESTABLISH A WORKING GROUP TO CREATE A MASTER PLAN OF PROVIDING UNIVERSAL HIGH SPEED BROADBAND ACCESS IN RESORT AREAS THROUGHOUT HAWAII.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:

     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

     The date and time of the hearing; and

     Measure number.
