RELATING TO THE SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION AWARENESS AND COMPLIANCE ACT.

Requires compliance with the Military Selective Service Act to be eligible for enrollment in a state-supported post-secondary institution, qualify for state financial assistance for post-secondary education, or be eligible for state or county employment or service.  Provides exceptions.

Status

RELATING TO LEGISLATIVE JURISDICTION.

Cedes concurrent legislative jurisdiction to the United States for certain lands owned by the Navy or its components.

RELATING TO THE MILITARY.

Makes an appropriation to address concerns relating to and the repair of the leaking underground fuel storage tanks at the Red Hill fuel storage facility.

RELATING TO VETERANS DISABILITY BENEFITS.

Exempts federal veterans disability benefits from seizure to enforce a court judgment, except for certain child and spousal support cases.

Prohibits courts, in making a disposition of property pursuant to a divorce decree, from considering federal disability benefits awarded to a military veteran.

Prohibits courts from considering a person's federal veterans disability benefits in determining whether to award support and maintenance allowances or the amount of the allowance to the person's spouse or former spouse.

RELATING TO VEHICULAR TAXES.

Provides for a state vehicle weight tax for a vehicle registered to certain permanently totally disabled veterans of $50 for a vehicle that has a net weight of ten thousand pounds or less, or $100 for a vehicle that has a net weight of more than ten thousand pounds.

Directs the DOH to establish a comprehensive suicide prevention program for veterans.  Appropriates moneys.
