RELATING TO LAND DISPOSITIONS.

Clarifies the statute that authorizes the Department of Transportation to negotiate disposition of lands under its control for specific purposes.

RELATING TO LAND DISPOSITIONS.

Authorizes the Department of Transportation to issue revocable permits without approval of the Board of Land and Natural Resources.

Status

RELATING TO TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT.

Establishes the Hawaii Interagency Council for Transit-Oriented Development within the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to institutionalize intergovernmental and interagency coordination on transit-oriented development planning statewide.  Appropriates funds.

Status

RELATING TO FUEL CELL ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

Includes fuel cell electric vehicles in the definition of electric vehicles for purposes of parking exemptions, HOV lane use, registration, and required parking spaces in places of public accommodation.  Grants procurement priority for fuel cell electric vehicles for state and county vehicle purchases.

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANIES.

Establishes motor vehicle insurance requirements for transportation network companies and persons who operate or serve as drivers for transportation network companies.

Requires annual registration and inspection of mopeds.

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
