Status

RELATING TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

Prohibits, on or after January 1, 2020, the issuance of building permits for all new residential multi-family buildings that have ten or more parking stalls and new commercial buildings that have twenty or more parking stalls unless at least twenty per cent of the parking stalls are electric vehicle charger ready.  (SD2)

Status

RELATING TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

Requires certain new state and county building construction and reconstruction projects to dedicate at least twenty per cent of the total projected amount of parking stalls, but not less than two electric parking stalls, to be electric vehicle charger ready.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD2)

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·    Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·    The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
