RELATING TO CHILDREN. Requires the court and the prosecution to take appropriate action to ensure a prompt trial to minimize the length of time a child abuse victim or minor witness must endure the proceedings.

RELATING TO FELONIES. Includes as a class C felony the offense of interference with the operation of an automated public transit vehicle, system, or service.

RELATING TO DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Amends the offense of disorderly conduct to include engaging in conduct with intent to convey false or misleading information.

RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST PROPERTY RIGHTS. Establishes the offense of unauthorized detention of propelled vehicle, which applies if a propelled vehicle is stolen and a person obtains possession of the vehicle from another without first making a reasonable inquiry as to whether the other party had the legal right to sell or deliver the vehicle.

RELATING TO ABUSE OF A FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD MEMBER. Amends the penal code to add abuse of a family or household member to felonies that qualify for repeat offender sentencing.

RELATING TO VIOLATION OF PRIVACY. Excludes violation of privacy in the first degree, and certain paragraphs of violation of privacy in the second degree, from qualifying for deferred acceptance of guilty plea or nolo contendere plea.

RELATING TO SEX OFFENDERS. Prohibits a sex offender from residing within two thousand feet of the sex offender's former victim or the victim's immediate family members.

RELATING TO DIVORCE. Grants exclusive original jurisdiction in matters of annulment, divorce, and separation and other certain cases to the family court of the circuit in which an applicant is domiciled at the time the application is filed. Repeals the requirement that a person be domiciled or physically present in the State for a continuous period of at least three months before filing for divorce. Repeals the requirement that a person be domiciled or physically present in the State for a continuous period of at least six months before completing a divorce.

RELATING TO DOMESTIC ABUSE. Provides that a court may not grant more than 2 continuances of an order to show cause hearing in domestic abuse cases, absent a finding of exigent circumstances.

RELATING TO PROOF OF DOMESTIC OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE VICTIM STATUS. Makes consistent the types of documents accepted as proof of domestic or sexual violence victim status.

RELATING TO CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE. Amends statutory limitations on the time period in which a survivor of childhood sexual abuse may file a civil suit. Provides that the monetary relief under this section shall not include punitive damages. Permits the court to order restorative justice measures, if deemed appropriate.
